Central values and moral lessons:
This series is designed for Sunday school teaching each short has the characters learning a lesson from the Bible. A lot of times they replicate parables such as in the half-baked sale where they replicate the father with two sons. Not the prodigal one but the one where he asked the two sons to do something. One said he would but dud not while the other said no but did what the father asked anyway. Ada and friends is designed for little kids from K-2 grade while the older elementary kids from 3-5 grade get Leo and friends.
Darkness and booboos: Characters tend to get hurt but no blood and they are perfectly fine by the next episode. It's usually off-screen too. Oh also there's a Halloween party in one episode of each series of whirl both have valuable lessons about proper offerings to God and the other is about volunteering not being a competition. If you are still uncomfortable here are the titles: Offer Errings, and Party supremacy. In a graveyard for the last scene, robbery off-screen, and kinves shown on screen as part of a rumor.
Lovey-Dovey stuff: In Leo and friends. There are implied crushes with a 12 year old boy having a crush on a 16 year old girl. Ruby a 12 year old girl liking a 16 year old boy. Finally Later on in a series Ruby and bert in order to stop the rumors of them having crushes on each other lies about Gabe having a crush on Mimi. In the end they are just implied and there's nothing wackadoodle happening
Potty humor: There is an episode where Otto makes an implications of going to the bathroom in the box he mailed himself in
Bad words: none except dang and dissing (name-calling like bossy and bully.) A pizza topping suggested is called fascist out of annoyance. Lame, dumb.
Animation: Though the character designs are a bit odd there also pretty adorable.
Overall this first volume of Whirl like every volume is filled with fun wacky adventures that give solutions to relatable situations your children might face like preaching the gospel or doing good things for God. Though the lessons can be a bit confusing at times. So checking the descriptions can help make them more understandable. One of the greatest things about this series is that the episodes are pretty short and tend to be put in a compilation. So it can be easy to get your child to watch one a day without spending too much time on the screen.
Overall 10/10 green milk chocolate m and m rating from Miss MMM.
