Peter Pan return to neverland review

Hello Miss MMM reviewees hold on to your pixie dust because today I am going to review the sequel movie to Peter Pan. Return to Neverland.

Central Values and Moral Lessons: Myths are important, dont rush growing up, but the personal most important takeaway for me is that empathy is as important for a mother to have as well as a sense of duty. Most importantly it does not diminish the original movie's value being that its important to grow up and motherhood is an essential role for women to play. A role only they can fill. Their created design is to nurture through having kids and taking care of them most notably through being a loving wife and mother but also through teaching and being doctors. The parents unlike in modern disney movies are fun yet smart. Truly respected and spoiler alert they dont even die!

Animation:

Visually stunning. The animation is smooth and feels as if you have just entered a fairy tale. Classic 2-d which allows gor vibrant colors and very expressive emotions on the characters. The shading and lighting are top notch perfectly capturing the feel of every scene.

Music:

The soundtrack perfectly syncs with the scene the cherry on top of a sundae of fantasy. My favorite part is the I try song and reprise with no dialogue to interrupt or ruin the scene which allows you to truly appreciate the animation. The songs can easily be seen through a Christians lens from an unbelievers pov of understanding Christianity. The faith mentioned in the movie is pretty shallow but not blind or the  self-confidence mantra which is a cut above the usual disney classic. Another thing is the importance of fighting for your country and to protect your family something again not commonly found in disney movies.

Lovey-dovey stuff:

Tinker-bell is jealous of Jane throughout most of the movie but there is no romance in this movie aside from one throwaway line where Peter says "all girls get like that around me."

Potty jokes:

Only one during the lost boy song with the raccoon twins and a hippo.

Darkness and booboos:

Insanely tense fighting but its mediated by Peters jokes and skapstick. Also tinkerbell and Peterpan do laugh when people get hurt but they do care for their friends. Clearly because they are imature they dont see the consequences of their reckless actions.

Too little clothing:

Captain hook is seen in his underwear two times after getting beated up by a giant octopus but nothing explicit is shown.

My final rating is 10/10 green milk chocolate m and ms, if you want to watch a dusney classic thats not covered in woke juice. This is a great one to pick. As per usual I will close off with a wacky skit where you will meet 5 fallacies and a Christian combatting them with their worst nightmare logic!
